Why is it important for your brand to celebrate Earth Month and how are you celebrating throughout the month?

At The Organic Center, we believe that every month should be Earth Month, but April is a special time to highlight the crucial role organic agriculture plays in protecting our planet. Earth Month gives us a unique opportunity to share credible science to empower consumers, celebrate the impact of organic farming, and encourage sustainable choices. Throughout the month, we are sharing research-backed insights on organic practices, sharing informative on-demand webinars, and partnering with like-minded organizations to amplify the message of sustainability and environmental stewardship.

What does your brand do to help create a healthier environment and to treat the planet more respectfully every day?

The Organic Center is dedicated to advancing scientific research to make organic farming more accessible, helping to transition more acres of farmland into those that are managed sustainability. We work closely with researchers, farmers, and policymakers to support organic practices that reduce toxic pesticide use, promote biodiversity, and improve soil and water quality for the benefit of the environment and human health. By funding and sharing groundbreaking studies, we empower consumers and farmers with knowledge to make informed choices that benefit both people and the planet.

Why is it important for your brand to be organic?

Organic is at the core of everything we do. A major part of our mission is to provide scientific evidence that demonstrates the benefits of organic food and farming, ensuring that consumers have access to trustworthy information about their choices. Organic agriculture is not just a trend—it’s a necessary shift toward a healthier food system that prioritizes sustainability, animal welfare, and public health. By staying true to organic principles, we can help create a food future that nourishes people and the environment alike.

What does organic do to make the planet healthier?

Organic farming reduces toxic pesticides from our water, air and food that we eat, supports biodiversity, and builds healthy soils that mitigate climate change by increasing soil’s ability to capture and store carbon and creating resilience to extreme weather events like droughts and floods. When consumers choose organic, they are supporting a system that prioritizes ecological balance and long-term sustainability.

How can consumers celebrate Earth Month?

Consumers can celebrate Earth Month by making conscious choices that support sustainability. Some ways to get involved include:

  • Choosing organic products to support farming practices that are better for the planet
  • Reducing food waste by meal planning and composting
  • Supporting local and organic farmers by shopping at farmers’ markets
  • Educating themselves and others about the benefits of organic farming
  • Participating in community clean-ups or tree-planting initiatives
  • Advocating for policies that promote organic and regenerative agriculture
