Arnold Coombs is the seventh generation of the Coombs family to practice the craft of sugaring. His first stop after coming home from the hospital as a newborn wasn’t a crib – it was the sugarhouse where his father was boiling down the sap into maple syrup. Not surprisingly, Arnold was tapping Maple trees himself by the time he was eight.
Today, as the head of Coombs Family Farms, Arnold is one of the maple industry’s greatest advocates for sustainable and organic maple farmers. He also likes to sell a bit of maple!
